She further descends with him in Abyss. Abyss leads them to the deep end of the Earth. They are on this mission in the hope of finding Riko’s mother.

One of these whistles belongs to Riko’s mother, Lyza, who is dead. Riko becomes a white whistle as she wanted to just be like her mother. One day she receives a message from the whistle. Riko is determined to find her mother which starts her journey to the Abyss.

Made in Abyss Season 2
After a long hiatus, season 2 has returned, and we are here to tell you what you all need to remember before watching season 2. Lyza was a cave rider in the Abyss and achieved the highest ranking. Lyza is Riko’s mother. The ranking is that of a white whistle. Lyza is dead and has not seen her daughter Riko in roughly like 10 years. The reason she has not seen her is Riko has floated out of the Abyss and reached the town above. She was taken to an orphanage in the town.
Riko dreams of going into the Abyss and runs into a cyborg Reg. He doesn’t remember anything of his past. Soon, Lyza’s whistle comes up with Reg’s photo and a message. The message states she has been waiting for him in the Abyss. Riko wants to meet her mother and her only hope for this is Reg. The two set off for this journey, totally unprepared for what may come.
The number of episodes in season 2 of Made in Abyss?
The official website for Made in Abyss revealed that Made in Abyss season 2 will constitute 12 episodes in total. Made in Abyss: “The Golden City of the Scorching Sun” is the name of the second season. There would be a lot of treks in and out of the Abyss, where we all know one thing. The deeper you go into it, the more the risks of the curse come to life. So hold on tight, it will be one hell of a ride.
