Puzzle & Dragon revolves around Ace. Ace is the son of the Dragon Caller King. The king is missing right now from the beginning of the series. Rena aspires to be a Dragon Caller, just like his father. His journey starts by seeing the Drops and finding an egg of a Tamadra. This egg is an extinct species. He moves to Dragonza. Dragonza is a region belonging to only Dragonoids. A lot of Dragon Callers now occupies this place. In the series, he makes friends with Charo, Tiger, and many other Dragon Callers while improving his knowledge and abilities. Ancients, a mix of Dragonoids and Humans, are the leaders who look after the six regions. Lance is a powerful Dragon Caller who keeps coming across Ace and believes that the Dragonoid are the only ones who can save the planet.
The series’ key area of focus is the reason behind Drop Impacts. Ace and his other friends are trying to find the exact cause of the Drop Impact and save the planet. They also need to face Dragonoids who are pushing humans down, keeping the faith that it is only their race that belongs in Dragoza. They also believe it is just them who should be known as Dragon callers, and it is them who can save the planet.
