Demi Moore has shifted her attention toward her career rather than relationships over the years. The 61-year-old star of The Substance has been divorced three times, including marriages to Ashton Kutcher, 46, and Bruce Willis, 69. Since around 2019, Demi admits that her primary focus has been on her professional life rather than romance.

In an interview with The Guardian, she explained, “Dating hasn’t really been a priority for me. Especially in the last four or five years, I’ve been more intent on immersing myself in my work.” She added that she now feels more in control of her choices, emphasizing a sense of fulfillment rather than a feeling of scarcity.

Demi’s latest role in The Substance involves playing a former fitness instructor who takes an experimental drug, leading her to “birth” a younger, idealized version of herself, portrayed by Margaret Qualley, 29, from Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. Her comments about dating follow her recent reflections on how much she values spending time with Bruce Willis, who is currently battling dementia.

Demi, who shares daughters Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, with Bruce, was married to the Die Hard actor from 1987 to 2000. She remains close to him during his ongoing health challenges. On The Drew Barrymore Show, she offered advice to her children about connecting with their father: “I tell my kids to meet people where they are at.”

She emphasized the importance of embracing the present version of someone, without holding on to past expectations. Demi cherishes her visits to Bruce’s home in LA, where she spends time with him regularly, saying, “I really treasure the moments we share together.”

In 2022, Bruce’s family, which includes his current wife Emma Heming Willis, 46, and their daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 9, revealed his retirement from acting after he was diagnosed with aphasia, a speech and language disorder. His dementia diagnosis followed in 2023.
