An insider shared with the Mirror, “Helen and Olly were close and provided each other support during their breakups. However, their lives have since taken different paths. Encouraged by friends, Helen decided to join Raya in hopes of meeting someone she truly connects with.”
The source emphasized that Helen is in a good place and not stressing about finding a relationship. “She’s very content at the moment, so if a meaningful relationship comes along, it would just be a nice addition to her life.”
Helen has been sharing moments from her recent vacation in Puglia, Italy, where she has posted images of herself in charming locations and spending time with friends. This trip followed her work on the 14th season of Call the Midwife, her first since her on-screen husband, Matthew Aylward, played by Olly, left the show.
The previous season ended with Helen’s character, Trixie Franklin, choosing to move to New York with Matthew. However, Helen’s return to the set suggests that Trixie will be back in Poplar for the upcoming episodes.
