After Cassie’s Assault, Dawn Richard Alleges Diddy Issued Threats

American Singer/Dancer, Cassie Ventura, American Singer, Dawn Richard and American Rapper, Diddy

Dawn Richard has revealed startling details about the alleged events involving the music mogul and his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, as part of her federal lawsuit against him, In Touch has reported.

Court documents obtained by In Touch highlight Dawn’s account, where she described witnessing Diddy, allegedly under the influence of drugs, throwing a “scalding hot pan of eggs” at Cassie.

Their initial encounter dates back to 2004 when Dawn was chosen to participate in season 3 of Making The Band, an MTV reality show centered around Diddy’s efforts to create a new music group. Dawn, along with four other women, was selected to form the girl group Danity Kane.

Dawn described a chilling incident where Diddy allegedly warned her that people who speak out “end up missing.”

The singer recounted how Diddy subjected her and her bandmates to extreme working conditions, often depriving them of essentials such as food and sleep. It was around 2006 that Dawn met Cassie, and by 2009, Danity Kane had disbanded.

Dawn explained that she continued working with Diddy due to financial difficulties. She then collaborated with him on a new project, Dirty Money, which included her, Diddy, and singer Kalenna Harper.

During the alleged egg incident, Dawn recalled visiting Diddy’s Los Angeles home to work on the Dirty Money album. On their first day there, Cassie was cooking eggs for Diddy when the situation escalated.

According to Dawn, she saw Diddy, appearing under the influence, confront Cassie in the kitchen, scream at her, push her against the wall, choke her, and then hurl the hot pan of eggs at her. Cassie collapsed to the ground, and Diddy continued to drag her upstairs while shouting.

Dawn claimed she could hear glass breaking and other loud noises as Cassie was allegedly dragged up the stairs. Despite her desire to help, Kalenna advised her not to interfere, and the two left the home.

The next day, according to Dawn, she returned to Diddy’s house, where he presented her with flowers. He allegedly dismissed the violent episode as a lover’s quarrel, telling Dawn to stay quiet if she wanted to succeed in the industry.

Dawn shared that Diddy issued a chilling warning, implying that people who talk “end up missing.” She also recounted another incident where Diddy allegedly choked Cassie after dragging her out of a van and pinning her down on the grass.

In early 2010, Dawn claimed she witnessed Diddy strike Cassie in the face at a party in Los Angeles. According to the lawsuit, Cassie frequently endured physical abuse whenever she attempted to voice her opinion or stand up to Diddy. Dawn admitted that she tried to encourage Cassie to leave the toxic relationship.

Diddy’s anger intensified whenever Dawn and Kalenna spoke with Cassie, as he would reportedly scream at them, threatening their careers and lives with violent remarks.

Dawn’s lawsuit against Diddy includes accusations of sexual abuse, sex trafficking, and other serious charges. The suit suggests that for nearly ten years, Diddy manipulated Dawn into believing that submitting to his abusive demands was necessary for career success. Dawn realized the extent of the abuse after Cassie bravely came forward with her story.

Diddy’s lawyer, Erica Wolff, expressed disappointment regarding the lawsuit, accusing Dawn of fabricating claims for financial gain, coinciding with her album release. Wolff emphasized that Dawn chose to work with Diddy for Dirty Money and returned for the 2020 Making The Band reboot, despite her allegations.

Kalenna, who also worked with Diddy, commented that while she respects Dawn’s perspective, her own experiences do not align with many of the claims outlined in the lawsuit.

The legal action was filed just days before federal authorities arrested Diddy on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, for which he pleaded not guilty. During court proceedings, prosecutors revealed that Diddy had made 58 calls to Kalenna over four days after Dawn’s lawsuit, which stopped once Kalenna made her public statement.
