Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a 2020 first-person shooter video game. Treyarch and Raven Software collaborated on the project. On November 13, 2020, it was released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S. It is the sixth installment in the Call of Duty: Black Ops series and the seventeenth overall. This is the second Call of Duty game to be co-developed by two studios after Modern Warfare 3 in 2011.

Call of Duty: Black Ops The Cold War campaign is set in the early 1980s during the Cold War, and it takes place chronologically between Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) and Black Ops II (2012). It revolves around the hunt for accused Soviet spy Perseus, whose claimed purpose is to destabilize the US and tip the power balance toward the Soviet Union. The player controls “Bell” in the campaign, who is recruited by CIA officer Russell Adler into a global task team established to find Perseus.

Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson make cameo appearances in the campaign, with Mason serving as a playable character in several objectives. New game types, as well as new map dynamics and features, were included in the multiplayer aspect of the game. It contains a battle pass as well as free maps and weaponry released every season, similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019).

Call of Duty Black Ops season 6 release date

Teasers for Season 6 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone have already begun to appear on the Call of Duty website. There is presently no stated start date or time for the season, but based on public information, we have a very decent estimate of when it will begin. Season 6 is expected to arrive around October 7, according to the current battle pass, which means it will either arrive on the same day or one day before the new season begins. On the day the previous battle pass finishes, these seasonal upgrades generally go live about 9 p.m. PT / 12 a.m. ET.

Season 6 of Black Ops Cold War will very probably be the final season of content, considering Call of Duty: Vanguard will be launched on November 5. A WWII scenario will be merged with a new Warzone Pacific map for Warzone later this year.

What to expect from the sixth season?

Players may anticipate a new battle pass to unlock with the start of a new season of content, as is customary. More maps, modes, and operators are expected to be added, but not much has been revealed regarding Black Ops Cold War multiplayer or Warzone DLC.

Season 6 will include a new round-based Zombies map, according to Treyarch. This is the final round-based map in the Dark Aether narrative in Black Ops Cold War, and it will finish the game. The map’s location as a Soviet military training station in Ukraine was revealed in a series of teasers released last week. The facility may be familiar to players from the Cold War campaign objective Operation Redlight, Greenlight.

While this new tale will conclude the Zombies storyline in Call of Duty: Cold War, Treyarch will continue the Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Vanguard, which will serve as a prologue to the events of Black Ops Cold War’s Dark Aether storyline.

New modes in Call of Duty Season 5 include Double Agent in Black Ops Cold War, as well as Iron Trials ’84 and Payload in Warzone. There were also several new operators to select from, as well as strong weaponry like the EM2 assault rifle and the TEC-9 semi-automatic submachine gun. It’s not too late to finish Season 5’s 100-tier battle pass, and both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are presently hosting a limited-time Numbers event. You’ll get unique goods, like a Sai melee weapon, if you complete the event’s in-game activities.

The game was created by Raven and Sledgehammer Games and was never intended to be a part of the Black Ops franchise. However, due to disputes between the two teams, Activision put Treyarch in control of the game’s production in 2019, with Raven serving as a co-developer. The game’s marketing began in August 2020 and took a variety of formats, including slide projectors for select content providers, puzzles for fans to complete online, and a website showing historical Cold War events. In October 2020, a public multiplayer beta for the game became live.
