Rhoden was convicted of molesting a female student in Salt Lake City, Utah, in October 2018, shortly after becoming Mr. Olympia. In July 2019, he faced charges of rape and sexual assault in Utah. Rhoden supposedly escorted a woman who was married that he had counselled to his Salt Lake hotel room, where the incident is reported to have taken place. Following this incident, the LLC company, which runs the Mr. Olympia competition, declared in July 2019 that Rhoden could not participate in its 2019 competition or any upcoming competitions.
