Robert Pattinson has quietly offloaded his long-standing Los Angeles residence, although it was never officially listed on the market. Property records unveil that the Batman and Twilight star, who acquired the house in the Hollywood Hills approximately nine years ago for around $2.2 million, completed an all-cash transaction, fetching precisely $3 million.
Surprisingly, the purchaser is not a notable Hollywood figure but an LLC associated with Frank Buckley, a financier and executive linked to the $9 billion hedge fund Marlin Equity Partners, headquartered in Hermosa Beach, California.
The decision to part ways with his bachelor pad is understandable, given recent developments in Pattinson’s personal life. The 37-year-old British actor and his longtime partner, Suki Waterhouse, are anticipating their first child. The couple has also secured a larger residence in the hills, having spent $5.3 million in the summer of 2022 on a gated property formerly owned by Grammy-winning musician Beck.
As the just-sold Los Angeles home was not publicly advertised, the alterations and enhancements made by the actor during his nearly decade-long ownership remain undisclosed. Aerial views, however, show that the property’s exterior has retained its original appearance, with a substantial driveway gate providing privacy.
Constructed in the 1950s and nestled privately behind another house along a lengthy red brick driveway, the single-story hacienda encompasses two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a cozy 1,940 square feet.
Internally, rustic terracotta tile floors flow through the interconnected living spaces, transitioning to hardwood in the bedrooms. Noteworthy features include a spacious living room with multiple French doors opening to tree-shaded gardens, twin arches framing a double-sided fireplace, and a skylit kitchen boasting a vaulted wood-beam ceiling and premium stainless appliances. Both bedrooms boast custom built-in wardrobes and direct access to outdoor lounging areas, while the bathrooms showcase arched and tiled showers, with the hallway bathroom adorned in cobalt blue and the master bath in cheerful celery green.
A brick veranda graces the inside facade of the angled residence, and despite the relatively small yard, it offers remarkable privacy, featuring a grassy lawn space, a kidney-shaped swimming pool, and views of the rugged surrounding canyons. Courtyard areas on the side and rear of the residence include several terraces and a secluded spa set into a brick terrace surrounded by tall hedges for celebrity-style privacy. An attached two-car garage completes the property.
