The 11th season of the long-running Showtime series Shameless will serve as the final season of the series. The final season will make us say goodbye to our favorite dysfunctional family, the Gallaghers. Showtime released the official synopsis of what is about to come in this upcoming season, and it sounds really intriguing and exciting for the fans. It sees the Gallagher family dealing with the changes caused by the COVID 19 pandemic.
Each of the members has their own issues to deal with like Frank confronts his alcoholism and drug use, Lip becoming the family’s new patriarch, Ian and Mickey figuring out how to be in a committed relationship, Debbie embracing her single motherhood, and Carl finding a career in law enforcement. It looks like there are many new experiences and challenges the Gallaghers will be getting into in the midst of this pandemic, and it will be exciting to see where it will take them and how all of this is going to play out in this final outing.

The main cast of this season includes William H. Macy as Frank Gallagher, Cameron Monaghan as Ian Gallagher, Emma Kenney as Debbie Gallagher, Jeremy Allen White as Philip “Lip” Gallagher, Ethan Cutkosky as Carl Gallagher, Noel Fisher as Mickey Milkovich, Shanola Hampton as Veronica Fisher, Steve Howey as Kevin Ball, Christian Isaiah as Liam Gallagher and Kate Miner as Tami Tamietti. However, it’s unknown if Emmy Rossum will return in a guest appearance as Fiona Gallagher this season. She was the main character and held the whole series on her back, and it would be sad if she isn’t brought back in one of the 11th season episodes.

Shameless’s final season has released on December 6th, 2020, just in time for the holidays. The first episodes of the show were released on the premiere day, and it is available to watch for the subscribers of Showtime. The second episode is going to release on December 13, 2020.
