Universal’s Nobody: Action Movie Starring Bob Odernik Gets First Trailer

The trailer and the release date of the new Bob Odernik starrer Nobody have been announced. Originally the movie was supposed to come out on 14th August 2020, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the movie ended up being delayed. The movie will be directed by Ilya Naishuller. The movie focuses on Hutch Mansell, an ordinary man who has PTSD. He refers to himself as a “nobody.” When two thieves break into his home, Hutch decides not to defend himself and his family because he fears he will end up in another traumatic experience. His son is disappointed in him, and his wife only pulls away from him.

The aftermath of this incident causes Hutch’s long-simmering rage to be released when he rescues a woman from many men harassing her on the bus. This is when he goes down on a dark path that exposes his dark secrets and lethal weapons. Hutch must save his family from a mafia boss and make sure that he is never underestimated by anybody again.

The production of this movie had started in Los Angeles in September 2019. The movie’s star cast includes Bob Odernik (Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul), Connie Nielsen, RZA, Christopher Lloyd, Aleksei Serebryakov, Gage Munroe, and Paisley Cadorath.

Trailer Breakdown

The trailer shows the police at Hutch’s house, questioning him on the break-in that happened done by the two thieves. The flashback scenes show Hutch trying to fight back but deciding not to at the last minute. His son is disappointed over his decision and tells him that he should’ve fought back. The trailer later shows him on the normal day of his life and what he normally does as the neighbor talks to him about the robbery. In between, we see him channeling his rage by punching on the wall.

We then see him sit on a bus, where he witnesses a gang of men trying to harass a young woman. He finally has had enough and decides to finally take down those guys by beating them up to a pulp.

We then see him describe his past life as a group of soldiers break into his home, and he hides his family inside a basement as he attacks the soldiers. He mentions how he left his past life behind so that he could start a family. We then see him ready his weapons as he goes down the action and the thrill-packed path where he shoots, punches, and takes down anyone who comes in his way, all the while he protects his family from a Russian mafia boss. When the police officer asks him who he is, he replies that he is just a nobody.

The trailer is filled with a lot of action-packed and bloody violence. This movie is presented to you by the same producers that made the John Wick series. Hence, you can expect a lot of excitement out of it. Nobody will release in theaters on February 26th, 2021. It is produced by 87North Productions, Eighty-Two Films, and Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment and distributed worldwide by Universal Pictures.
