The Mandalorian will soon release its 16th Chapter or Season 2 Episode 8. It was the first original live-action series to be released on Disney+. This show takes place five years after the Return of the Jedi. The series focuses on Din Djarin, the titular Mandalorian who is tasked with protecting the child known as Grog. While he tries to reunite Grogu with his kind of people, they are pursued by Moff Gideon, who wants to use Grogu’s connection to the Force. The Mandalorian Chapter 16 will come out on December 18, marking it as this season’s finale episode.

Looking back at the previous chapter, Din had been tasked with returning Grogu to his kind, the Jedi. He is first led to a fellow Mandalorian in a town called Mos Pelgo. He meets with the marshal Cobb Vanth, who only wears the armor. He needs help with killing the Krayt dragon, who keeps on terrorizing the town. With the help of Tusken Raiders, they try to lure out the Krayt dragon from its cave, and they successfully kill it. Vanth gives his armor back. It even saw the return of Boba Fett.

Later, Din was tasked to take the Frog Lady and her eggs from Tatooine to the moon Trask, where her husband will fertilize the eggs, in exchange for more information on the other Mandalorians. They were confronted by X wing pilots because he was wanted by the New Republic for his role in the prison break in the Season 1 episode “Prisoner.” They end up retreating on an icy planet, where Din ends up crashing the ship. While he tries to repair the spaceship and the Frog Lady relaxes in a hot bath with her eggs, Grogu came across a bunch of eggs, which ended up releasing a swarm of spiders. The creatures trap them until they get saved by the X-wing pilots. They drop the arrest warrant on Din and let him off with a warning.

Frog Lady finally reunites with her husband on Trask as they guide Din to find more information on the other Mandalorians. When Din and Grogu get attacked by pirates, they end up getting saved by Bo Katan and her fellow comrades. Twice. She wants his help in seizing the weapons from an Imperial fighter in exchange for a piece of information about the Jedi. Bo Katan directs Din and Grogu to meet Ahsoka Tano in Calodan.

They later reunite with Cara Dune and Greef Karga. They are tasked with destroying an Imperial base in Nevarro. The team discovers that this base is being used by Dr. Pershing so that he could conduct experiments with the Child’s blood. After destroying the base, Din and Grogu head for Corvus, unaware than a mole, had inserted a tracking device instructed by Moff Gideon.

Then, arriving at the planet Corvus in the city of Calodan, where Din is instructed by a tyrant to kill Ahsoka. He finally meets her and tells her that Bo Katan sent him to her. He introduces Grogu to her. She tells more information about him to Din, especially the fact that he begun his training as a Jedi before the rise of the Empire. He helps her defeat Elsbeth and get more information on Admiral Thrawn. Ahsoka tells Din that she can’t train Grogu because of his connection, but she directs him to an ancient temple in Tython where he can continue his training and decide his own fate.

Grogu begins his meditation in Tython as Boba Fett and Fennec Shand arrives. Fett reveals that the armor worn by Vanth belongs to him. As he agrees to help protect Grogu, Moff Gideon and the Stormtroopers arrive and attack them, and they kidnap Grogu. Fennec, Dune, and Fett decide to help Din rescue Grogu as he sends a threatening message to Gideon, promising that he will save Grogu no matter what.
