The show is an adaptation of the Archie comic book series of the same name. The OTT version of the show picks up in modern times. But knock knock? Set in a dark fictionalized land of Greendale, the story revolves around the main character Sabrina Spellman, played by Kiernan Shipka, who has just begun her dark education. She is on the verge of her 16th birthday, and it’s time for her to make a decision that will affect the coming years of her life. Sabrina has to choose either she wants to accept the “Path of Light” and live like a normal woman with no magical powers or the “Path of Night,” where she would be living like a full witch under the traditional rules and restrictions.
Sabrina’s father chose the “Path of the night” and lives as a wizard, while her mother lives as a mortal woman after choosing the “Path of light.” The difference of choices in her family has made it complicated for her to choose one path. Neither can she decide herself, nor does she want to let someone else make a decision for her. So instead, with the help of her aunts, Sabrina tries to carve a new route in the witch world that favors both the paths equally. She is fearless of any unearthly force that might oppose her. In short, the series centers around her life and her endeavors to practice witchcraft and maintain a normal life-both side by side.
Since both Riverdale and Greendale are originated from Archie Comics, the makers back in 2017 wanted to air this who besides Riverdale as a series crossover. But then, on further analysis, the makeup came up with a good reason to air the series separately, and we truly agree with their point. Since Riverdale is a show surrounded by crime as its the primary aspect, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is the one surrounding horror, and the black magic notion of the show should only be existent in Greendale and not in Riverdale. We know that water and oil don’t mix!

The show starring Kiernan Shipka(Sabrina), Gavin Leatherwood(Nicholas), Lachlan Watson(Theo), Ross Lynch(Harvey), and many others has an intense amount of violence and brutality and is not advisable for children and teenagers. The show also witnesses some alarming scenes that could leave children with immense psychological trauma. The first season of the show premiered on 14th December 2018, and Netflix is now ready to premiere its fourth season on 31st December 2020. The fans of this show couldn’t have got a better new year gift and a perfect start to their new year with their favorite show!
