Created by Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, and Jeremy Haft, “On My Block” is an American Comedy Drama TV series. Airing on Netflix, On My Block is a story revolving around four kids, namely Cesar, Monse, Ruby, and Jamal, at a fictional place, Freeridge, in the Los Angeles inner city. First premiering on March 16, 2018, the series has three seasons up till now, airing on March 29, 2019, and March 11, 2020, subsequently. Being praised for its diverse cast and storylines, On My Block quickly climbed up the Netflix charts and is quite popular among the audience.
Getting an approval rating of 95% for the first season, according to Rotten Tomatoes, On My Block has made high opinions for itself among reviewers. The series is laid out in 10, 8, and 8 episodes per season, respectively, and according to the critics, each of these episodes seem to have been planned out well to bring forth the various realistic issues that a teen could face on the screen. In this article, we will be discussing the previous three seasons of “On My Block” and the prospects of Season 4.
On My Block Season 4 Plot
Throughout the three seasons up till now, the kids have gone through a lot – death threats, loss of loved ones, meddling with gangs, and whatnot. The show has always left things at a cliffhanger but, season 3 takes the cake as we see something so unexpected and yet something one could anticipate. The season finale has a time skip of two years, and every one of the gang is split off from one another. This is something each of us goes through in life, but it was unexpected of “On My Block”.

Monse, as she said, has gone off to boarding school to finish her high school and has truly fit in with her new life. She has new friends and seems to be pushing off the friends of her past behind. Ruby is with Jasmine while Jamal is back playing football and is hanging out with his football mates. They both do give each other a look, but that’s about it.
The most shocking is the shift in the roles of Spooky and Cesar. Spooky is now completely devoted to his family, whereas Cesar is now the leader of Santos. Season 4 will definitely answer the questions of why have the four friends fallen apart, and they will ever get back together, and how. Also, at the beginning of Season 3, the core-four are given the task of finding Lil’ Ricky, former Santos leader. Lil’ Ricky was thought dead but was declared alive by Cuchillos, and we still haven’t seen a glimpse of him. Let’s hope we finally get to know more of this unfamiliar yet notable character.
Season 4 Release Date
Judging the previous seasons, Netflix has always announced the renewal of On My Block in April. But that wasn’t the case this year. That isn’t a thing to worry about, as Netflix does not always make decisions within that time frame. Later, seen from a reliable source, “What’s on Netflix,” we can confirm that On My Block Season 4 is coming. The probable release date could be believed to be somewhere around March 2021, but things could alter due to all that’s been happening this year.

Season 4 Cast
While nothing is confirmed from the official sources, we believe that these cast members are bound to return for On My Block Season 4: Sierra Capri as Monse, Diego Tinoco as Cesar, Jason Genao as Ruby, Brett Gray as Jamal, Jessica Marie Garcia as Jasmine, and Julio Macias as Spooky.
