Blue Bloods is an American police drama television series that airs on CBS. The show follows the story of a fictional Reagan family. This is an Irish-American Catholic family with a history of work in law enforcement, residing in New York City. The series is filmed in the same city while making occasional references to other suburbs. The show debuted back on September 24, 2010, and has aired for 10 Seasons. Later, in May 2020, it was announced by CBS that the show would be coming back for the eleventh season. This season premiered on December 4, 2020.

The story is that of the Reagan family, in which each member is some way connected to law enforcement. Frank is the Police Commissioner, while his oldest sons Danny and Jamie are NYPD detective and sergeant, respectively. At the same time, his daughter Erin works as the assistant district attorney. Even Frank’s father, Henry, was an NYPD beat cop who rose through the ranks to become Police Commissioner. Additionally, the show even covers each member’s professional as well as personal relationships. All while their stories interweave with one another’s. This family event gathers every week for Sunday dinner.

The Episode titled “Atonement” follows up on Frank as he reveals Joe Hill’s true identity as his grandson. Hearing his lineage, the family surprisingly takes it well as he is quickly considered a part of the family as he is even invited for the Christmas dinner. Meanwhile, all this is very overwhelming for Joe. Being a part of the Reagan family is a delight, but now people view him differently. As his subordinates feel like he has betrayed them while his recent accolades account to his new family. So, he wants to keep his distance so that he can fight his own battles. The plot has a twist when Erin and Anthony find a Christmas present on her desk. This present has a photo of a criminal. Therefore, they try to weigh down the possibilities carefully.

On the other hand, there is a clash of principles between Danny and Jamie as they have set out to find a murderer. Danny is opposed to authority, while Jamie wants to stick to it. Jamie reports himself, making him unable to investigate. But later comes through as he is available to talk down Andy from committing suicide. Jamie is one of the Reagan’s who is sympathetic therefore, he can connect with people emotionally. Meanwhile, Danny’s commanding officer is fully aware of his actions but decides not to punish him. Even though he knew Danny was breaking his order. It is believed that he did so, as the replacement detectives could not have done a better job.

The episode titled “Redemption” is set to release on 8th January 2021 at 10 pm Eastern Time. This episode of Blue Bloods will see Frank make a decision on the department’s accommodation. Detective Allison Mulaney, who is now a wheelchair user, appeals to remain on the field. Meanwhile, Erin is varying from her actions. As she is about to sentence a man who is charged with vehicular homicide. On the other hand, Danny and Baez pursue a rapist who acts in the pretense of sharing a ride. When a partner of a fellow officer is shot on duty, so Jamie and Eddie team up to find the culprit.
