Amazon Original Movie Bliss: Preview, When Will It Air?

Bliss

You’re living your life. You’re working hard each day, trying to bring the best out of it each moment you dedicate. Ofcourse you’re tired and irritated at times. But how will you react if I told you that the life you’re living right now, trying to build it up, isn’t actually yours but just a simulation? Well, if you’re rolling your eyes right now, let me tell you, the upcoming Amazon Original Movie titled ‘Bliss’, caters to this creative concept of imagination.

The official channel of Amazon Prime Video recently dropped the trailer of its upcoming film ‘Bliss’ and announced the release date of the same. With a piece of intensifying background music that holds the entire trailer, it’s exciting to witness a plot with various creative elements.

The trailer begins with Greg, a man who talks about a vision he keeps imagining. He gets pictures of a place and a mysterious woman in his head who he feels he knows but isn’t quite sure about their existence in real life. He has a feeling that there’s some deep connection between the place, the woman, and him. Greg is divorced and has a hell of a lot of workload upon him. His life is somewhat gloomy, and he struggles to balance the happiness in his life along with the responsibilities he is bound to fulfill.

Greg then comes across a woman named Salma Hayek’s Dr. Isabel Clemons, who tells him that whatever he sees around him doesn’t exist in real life. All his workload and the hectic life he’s living is nothing but just a computer simulation. She makes him aware of the fact that in the world of computer simulation, both of them are capable of moving objects with their minds, which is pretty impossible in their real life.

He then is taken back to the real world, and he realizes the actual concept of simulation. The computer-generated world of deception is given an ugly outlook so that people can appreciate their real life more. The more they experience the gloomy life of deception via the computer simulation, the more they’ll be accepting towards their real life and the actual world they’re living in. Greg’s like hangs between the two lives he’s living, which puts him in a dilemma and makes him question his own existence. He has to make a choice and decide which life he would permanently stay in. ‘Bliss’ isn’t just some moral education movie; it is beyond that. It holds some mysterious and enthralling elements that are locked amidst the plot it portrays.

The film draws comparisons between the two worlds and strictly follows the saying, “you have to experience the bad in order to appreciate the good” and that makes it quite an ideal concept to be brought in front of the audiences, especially in the present times, when there has been a sense of gloominess surrounding the people for more than a year now.

Written and directed by Mike Chill, the film stars Owen Wilson and Salma Hayek in lead roles as Greg and Isabel. Apart from the above-mentioned stars, the film also features Madeline Zima, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. DeRon Horton, Joshua Leonard, Nesta Cooper, Steve Zissis, and Dayne Catalano in prominent roles. The American Sci-fi film is scheduled to premiere on the online streaming platform Amazon Prime Video on 5 February 2021.
