Without Remorse: What We Know So Far
Without Remorse is an upcoming American action thriller film directed by Stefano Sollima. Taylor Sheridan and Will Staples have written the story. The story is based upon the 1993 novel by Tom Clancy, which also shares the same name. The movie also takes essence from the spin-off of the Jack Ryan film series.
The movie was initially decided to release theatrically by Paramount Pictures. But since due to all of the unexpected events happening due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, The movie rights were transferred to Amazon Studios.
The Movie’s Story revolves around John Kelly, also known as John Clark, played by Michael B Jordan, a U.S. Navy SEAL. John recently uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the murder of his wife, who was also pregnant at the time of her death. Russian enemy soldiers murdered her.
John joined forces with his fellow SEAL Karen Greer, played by Jodie Turner-Smith, and Robert Ritter, a shadowy CIA agent the mission u, played by Jamie Bell. The team discovers a covert plot that endangers to submerge the U.S. and Russia in an all-out war. Now they need to do what it takes to make the plan fail. Paramount Pictures is developing two films based on Tom Clancy’s thriller novels Without Remorse and Rainbox Six, both with Jordan in the lead, so fans can indeed get excited!
John Clark, the protagonist of this story, is not a character that only appears in a solo novel, but this character has appeared in numerous Tom Clancy novels since 1988. In the story The Cardinal and the Kremlin as the darker side of Jack Ryan, John Clark has been seen, a character who works primarily in the field.
Jack typically operates only based on his own personal ethics. This was also adopted as a movie, where Willem Dafoe played the character, Jack Ryan. When is Without Remorse Releasing?
Finally, as we have said before, it’s time for Michael Jordan fans to mark dates on their calendars, as Amazon Studios has officially announced the release date for the upcoming film based upon Tom Clancy’s novel Without Remorse with the same name.
For this Amazon, studios have officially acquired the Michael B. Jordan stare action film’s distribution rights. However, the movie was early, expecting a release for February 2021 with the theatrical release. But as things have changed, the film will now be making its release on April 30, 2021, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
About the Amazon-Outlier Society Deal
Michael B. Jordan has officially signed for an overall and first-look deal with Amazon Studios. With this deal, Michael’s Outlier Studios and Amazon will develop films and television shows, which obviously, will be exclusive for Amazon Prime Video.
Through this deal, Jordan, with Outlier Society, Jordan is set to produce and procure high-quality films that can reflect Outlier’s desire to make films with diverse filmmaking talents. This will be backed by Amazon, giving a promising platform for great quality movies and other quality content. Thus with this way, Amazon can also offer great content to their audiences.
Michael Founded this production company with this aim keeping in mind. With Outlier Society, he wants to produce content with a wide range of entertainment and engaging diverse storytellers across all media.
With this objective, Outlier Society is set to grow the original movie slate. One of the projects developed under this new partnership Amazon is regarding a new limited series adaptation, which centers around Muhammad Ali’s life, a legendary The studio is producing this with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
As mentioned before, Amazon and Michael B. Jordan’s production banner, Outlier Society, the partnership is officially beginning after they have signed the actor and his company into a first-look film deal. This deal is not only about movies but also includes many other partnership ventures. As the deal states, Amazon has announced the premiering date for the Michael Jordan starring Without Remorse.
This will be a movie that will have elements of action, thriller, and drama. This movie is based on the 1993 novel written by Tom Clancy. This movie will be officially made available from April 30th, which will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, which is exclusively bundled with Amazon Prime Membership. In this deal, not only with films and TV shows but Jordan and Outlier will also be having a cross-collaboration with Amazon’s vast array of businesses. This includes everything from fashion to Audible, and from music and to beyond. As a hint, Michael Jordan already appeared in Amazon’s Super Bowl spot commercial, where he was promoting the services and features of Alexa. Amazon is promoting this deal as a “360-degree creative collaboration.”
This deal of Outlier Society and Amazon was announced days after the former Paramount president Elizabeth Raposo, who was in charge of the production executive role, joined Outlier as president. The new changes were immediately seen effective as Raposo entered. With all the changes happening in Outlier society, we don’t need to be confused about who will be in charge.
Raposo will be responsible for managing all production and development aspects of Outlier Society projects, alongside Jordan. As we have stated before, Jordan will be starring in this movie as a Navy SEAL member John Clark, also known as John Kelly. John is the protagonist as part of the reconnaissance world created by author Clancy.
Amazon Prime Video already has shown in that world based on Clancy’s novels- Jack Ryan. In this, it is starred by John Krasinski. The last movie of Michael Jordan was Just Mercy, and a legal drama released back in 2019 by Warner Brothers.
The Upcoming projects of Michael Jordan will include Denzel Washington-directed feature Journal for Jordan, where Jordan will both and starring and produce it. Another movie is called Creed III, which is a third installment of the Rocky franchise for MGM. In this, we will see Jordan reprising his role as Adonis Creed. We can also See Jordan in his upcoming project, Static Shock, a DC property.
