Ed Orgeron was born on 27th July in the year 1961, and as of 2021, he is sixty years old. His parents are Edward Orgeron Sr. and Cornelia Orgeron. He also had a brother named Steve Orgeron. Ed Orgeron was born and brought up in Larose, a town on the Bayou Lafourche in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. He went to the South Lafourche High School in Galliano, Louisiana. After he graduated from high school in 1977, he decided to play football at Louisiana State University, where he now works as the head football coach of the team. After playing with the Louisiana State University’s football team for a year, he transferred to Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Orgeron began his career in coaching in the year 1984. His first coaching gig was at Northwestern State University (NSU) in Louisiana. He then went on to coach at McNeese State University, Louisiana, and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. After that, he went on to become an assistant coach at the University of Miami. There he worked under the head coach Jimmy Johnson. After Jimmy Johnson quit, Orgeron worked under Dennis Erickson.
