Indian Viswanathan Anand is on a good run in the Norway chess blitz of 2022. He recently defeated Magnus Carlsen in the 7th round of the event. Notably, Carlsen is the current world number one in chess. He secured the third spot with this win. This format of the competition lasts for a shorter time. Eventually, Wesley So won the Blitz event in 2022. He had a score of 6.5 out of 9. Notably, Anand managed a draw in his game with So.

Anand is on a decent run in the Norway chess blitz. He started by beating Aryan Tari of Norway. And then came a series of draws and losses. However, he did manage to get the win over Carlsen. This win will pep him up for the rest of the matches. It is his first win over him since 2017.
