Hulu series, Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence directed by Zachary Heinzerling is a crime documentary series. It is a three-episode long series that premiered in the year 2023 on February 9. The series talks about the horrendous crimes done by Larry Ray.
Larry Ray owner of various bars and nightclubs is friends with politicians, including former commissioner of New York, Bernie Kerik. According to New York Magazine, he also used to work in the insurance industry and was also involved in the gambling industry.
Larry also had ties with the previous president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Pavel Palazhchenko, the Soviet’s leader interpreter. Bernie Kirk requested him to arrange a meeting with Rudy Giuliani, now former mayor of New York. He used his connections with Mikhail Gorbachev for this purpose.
He later married Teresa Ray in the year 1988 and got divorced in the year 2004. Before getting a divorce the couple had two daughters one of them is Talia Ray.
Ray started to talk about himself as a former marine and also as a self-help ‘guru’ and a student consultant to Talia’s friend. He also arranged group therapy sessions and used to cook meals with the motive of earning their trust.

Talia Ray’s father Larry Ray is an infamous figure in Sarah Lawrence College. He made a headline after Sarah Lawrence College students had been called a sex cult. It all started at beginning of the year 2010. Victims and accused of the cult claimed that all this abuse went on for a decade.
In the year 2010 in September, Ray through Talia came across these cult victims. Sarah Lawrence College sophomore, Talia Ray used to live with her seven other roommates in Slonim Woods 9, a large dorm in Sarah Lawrence College.
After coming out of jail, Larry Ray started living with Talia Ray in her dorm. Larry Ray served his time in prison due to being charged which was associated with his children. He was later accused of manipulation both physically and sexually and he was also accused of physical abuse by his victims.
Victims also claimed that he used various tactics such as sleep deprivation or sexual humiliation or some psychological games to brainwash them. Along with these, he also used to threaten them with physical violence to isolate young girls from their families. Along with recording, Larry also used to force these girls into sex work.
