Jewish Americans Unite Against AIPAC’s Election Influence for a Fairer US Policy in Israel/Palestine

A Statement From Jewish Americans Opposing AIPAC

We are a group of Jewish Americans with different views, but we’re united in speaking out against the powerful influence of AIPAC in American elections. AIPAC has been spending a lot of money to support candidates who promise to always support Israel, even when its actions are controversial or harmful.

We believe AIPAC’s support for candidates who won’t criticize Israel’s policies makes it harder to work toward peace in Israel and Palestine. Instead of blindly backing Israel, we think the US should only support governments that respect everyone’s rights.

AIPAC’s spending has been especially targeted at Democratic primaries, where it’s trying to defeat progressive candidates, often people of color, who dare to speak up against Israel’s actions. We’re worried that this will silence important voices and prevent real change.

So, we’re urging Democratic candidates not to take money from AIPAC and asking party leaders to stop letting AIPAC influence their decisions. We’ll support candidates who stand up to AIPAC and push for a fairer US policy towards Israel and Palestine, one that promotes peace and justice for all.
