The Glory’s Plot

The show starts by showing the scene where Park Yeon-jin played by Ji-Yeon Lim is shown beating Moon Dong-eun played by Song Hye-Kyo. Dong-Eun was being ‘punished’ for standing against the bullying done by Yeon-Jin.

Everyone in the school knew how brutal Yeon-Jin was, how much she loved to torture people, and how much she enjoyed seeing other people begging her to leave them, but no one had the guts to go against Yeon-Jin and her influential family.

Dong-eun was sexually assaulted by Son Myeong-Oh, who was played by Kim Gun-woo. After this Dong-eun submitted the form for drop out and in the form, she mentioned Yeon-jin and her group as the reason for her drop out.

Yeon-jin’s mother brided Dong-eun’s mother to change her reason for maladjustment for dropping out. Dong-eun was abandoned by her mother after she took the money from Yeon-jin’s mother. Before leaving the school, Dong-eun promised Yeon-Jin and her group that they would meet soon.

After a few years, Dong-eun got into a university when she got her GED. During her university days, Moon Dong-eun kept tabs on Park Yeon-jin and her minions. The day she left her school, where she was tortured till death, she started planning her revenge.

She knew with whom she was dealing. She knew one single mistake in her plan could cost her life. Despite all these, she was ready to take her revenge on dangerous families who could go to any extent to stop her.  While planning for her revenge, Dong-eun met Joo Yeo-Jeong, played by Lee Do-Hyun, a medical intern who was interested in Dong-eun.

Yeo-Jeong started teaching her GO, and they started spending time together under a tree where they used to play GO. Dong-eun was never interested in having a romantic relationship with anyone. She didn’t want to spend her time on these feelings, so she started distancing herself from Yeo-Jeong.

The Glory’s Ending

Joo Yeo-Jeong was mentally disturbed; he used to have nightmares. Yeo-jeong’s father was killed by a serial killer, and the same used to send threatening letters to Yeo-Jong. He started having dreams where he could see himself killing the serial killer with a knife. Yeo-Jeong started taking therapy sessions to overcome this.

Initially, Yeo-Jung was against Dong-eun’s plan of taking revenge. Dong-eun shared everything with Yeo-Jung and also gave him a choice to be her executioner if he wanted to and if the situation demanded.

When Dong-eun told her to plan for him, he is against her idea of seeking revenge, but later on, when Dong-eun shows her scars and bruises, he comes to realize that Dong-eun is seeking justice not only for her but for every other victim. Yeo-Jung agreed to be an executioner.

While Myeong-oh had found a piece of information and was ready to fly to Russia, later in the episode Myeong-oh was found dead. A green heals-wearing lady was seen leaving his room, and Yeon-jin was the owner of those heels, so it is clear that Yeon-jin killed Myeong-oh.

He was aware of Yeon-jin’s involvement in Yoon So-he’s death and was using the same to blackmail her into extorting money from her. Yeon-jin killed him for the same and used her connections with police and local thugs to cover up his murder.

After Ha Do-Yeong received the photos from Dong-eun, he started investigating more about the wild threat. He also started wondering about the sudden disappearance of Myeong-oh. He further came to realize that Ye-sol’s homeroom teacher was his wife’s batchmate, and he started doubting Dong-eun.

Dong-eun confronted Jae-Joon when he went to warn her to stay away from his daughter, Ye-sol (about whom he came to know recently and wanted to be her legal father) that she’s the one who sent him the mail which told him about Ye-sol’s real identity.

Dong-eun met Jae-Joon in a GO park and confirmed that she was the one who sent him the pictures. Her next part of the plan relied on Jae-joon’s influence. On the other hand, Yeon-jin finds Dong-eun’s house and regretted the next second for not killing her when she sees her walls covered with pictures.

Dong-eun is planning to destroy Yeon-jin by separating her from her friends and family. The family she had always dreamed of having, as she believed that love could not be found with money.
