Pixar Light Year Trailer Breakdown
On April 21st, the second trailer for the Disney Pixar film Lightyear was released.
Buzz was shown recording into a mission journal in the first trailer, which Hawthrone (Uza Aduba) tells him is a worthless pastime.
The stakes are significantly higher now that we know it’s “62 years, seven months, and five days” in the future.
Finally, the kiss in Lightyear that had been cut was hastily reinserted into the film.
The film’s two trailers were both action-packed and hinted at a time travel premise.
Because the film is set in space, it’s a departure from usual posters.
The light breaking on an orb-shaped planet in this poster harkens back to past space movies.
On June 17th, 2022, Lightyear will be available on Disney Plus in the United States.
