CW’s the Vampire Diaries has been streaming on Netflix after a programming deal in 2011.
All the 8 seasons of
the series had been available on Netflix for years.
The series, however, was included in Netflix’s list of TV shows and films that won’t be streaming starting in September.
This means that the streaming platform will not be housing the series anymore.
This may come as a shocker to the TVD fans who can no longer turn to Netflix to rewatch the series.

The exact date from which TVD will be completely leaving the platform is
September 3 that is today.
With that, the series now has to look for other streaming alternatives soon.
This move may also prove to be a setback for Netflix in terms of losing a sizeable number of subscribers.
