Elliot Page Wrote Shocking Essay About His Identity

Elliot Page became one of the most well-known trans men in the world when he came out in December 2020.

He's taken a bold stand as one of Hollywood's most outspoken advocates for transgender rights and visibility.

Page addresses the people who have made the adjustment difficult, including comedians, in a new essay for Esquire.

While Page is quick to emphasis the pleasures of living a genuine life  because LGBT joy should be embraced.

He's also open about the difficulties of transitioning.

Page writes, "Some elected politicians have said that transgender people are fundamentally responsible for the extinction of humanity."

"Jokes have an effect that damages people, he continues, I don't understand why some people believe it doesn't."

Page's essay gives a unique perspective on the trans experience and shows how far we still have to go in combating transphobia.
