Last year at San Diego Comic Conference, Marvel Universe announced the fourth installment of its iconic movie Thor, which brought in an overwhelming response from across the world. Now with that, the new topic doing the rounds is, during Thursday’s massive Disney investors presentation, Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, announced that one of the most versatile and an Oscar-winning actor Christian Bale who starred in Nolan’s ‘Batman’ trilogy is officially making his incursion into Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) upcoming film, ‘Thor: Love and Thunder.’ The news brought in a wave of sheer excitement among the audience and has become an exciting aspect of the film.

Casting and Roles
While Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) are returning to their roles, the film will also witness Chris Patt(Peter Quill) and Jaimie Alexander(Sif). Bale is all set to portray the role of a supervillain Gorr, the God Butcher, in the highly-anticipated movie. The virtually immortal character grew up as an alien on a nameless barren planet. He had a tough life since the beginning and prayed to gods to help him, and his family survives their harsh living conditions, but tragically he lost his entire family to a number of catastrophic deaths.
He started believing that gods have abandoned their creations, and driven by hatred, he vowed to kill the gods who did not save his dying family. As Thor is MCU’s biggest god, Gorr will certainly be setting his eyes on him to seek his vengeance, and hence the story will give its viewers many opportunities to see a tough battle between Thor and Gorr.
The film is believed to be shot in Moore Park, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and at Fox Studios. Taika Waititi will return to direct the film while also having a role in the movie. Thor: Love and Thunder are believed to follow the previous storyline. The viewers will witness Portman’s character becoming the first female Thor on screen. The much-awaited movie will arrive in the cinemas on May 6, 2022.
Amidst the flood of announcements at the Investors Presentation, it was confirmed that Chadwick Boseman’s role as T’Challa would not be recast as the “Black Panther” in the sequel, following the actor’s tragic passing in August.

The director of the movie, Taika Waititi, revealed that when the team was shooting for their previous film, Thor Ragnarok, he came across a storyline written by Jason Aaron. It was called THE MIGHTY THOR. He further says that for the people who are unaware of the storyline, it’s incredible and full of emotion and love and thunder. The story is one of its kind as it introduces a female Thor in Marvel’s history. The news was further confirmed that Jane Foster, which is played by Portman, will become the Mighty Thor, Goddess of Thunder.
