Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke Season 2 Will Premiere Soon?

Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke

Soon after the fans witnessed the abrupt ending of ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ last year, they’ve been protesting to get a second season of the show. ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ starring Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma went off the air in October 2020. The show was doing quite well before the lockdown came into existence. The show was loved by the audiences of all age groups and received positive critical responses throughout its run time. But a sudden announcement that the show will go off air left the loyal fans of the show in deep angst and misery.

The show’s TRP went down after the global pandemic hit the nation. Instead of being loved content-wise, the show was unable to gather a lot of audience. With the beginning of shows like KBC and Bigg Boss, hopes for its TRP charts being raising seemed too low. So the makers decided to end the show on a graceful note. The show premiered on 18 March 2019 and aired its last episode on 17 October 2020.

The show ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ is a spin-off of one of the longest-running shows ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and was telecasted on Star Plus. It focuses on the protagonists Mishti and Abir, portrayed by Rhea Sharma and Shaheer Sheikh, respectively. Mishti is Naman’s daughter who is paternally related to Naitik, Naira’s father, as seen in YRKKH. So the show gets into the details by picking up its main plot from the previous show but portraying a completely different story.

The show held an appeal to the youth, and the characters were loved as they had a sense of freshness beholding them. Rhea Sharma portrayed the role of a young girl who is emotional and sensible when it comes to her response. On the other hand, Shaheer Sheikh portrayed a young man who is a poet and a photographer and cherishes freedom. The main leads are referred to as ‘Ajib Rajvansh’ and ‘Angry Chorni’ by each other in the show.

They’re complete opposites but have one thing in common-their relationship differences with their parents. The show beautifully depicts a modern coming of age love story by weaving different emotions and relationships together. It also portrays the generation gaps and different thought processes of a parent and their child, both being correct and appropriate in their own ways.

Apart from the lead roles, the show also stars Kaveri Priyam as Kuhu Rajvansh, Rupal Patel as Meenakshi Rajvansh, and Ritvik Arora as Kunal Rajvansh, who was later replaced by Avinash Mishra in pivotal roles. The show also has the appearances of many characters from YRKKH who play important roles in the spinoff.

The cast of the show

Shaheer Sheikh is known for his appealing roles in shows like Navya, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Hi, Mahabharat that have fetched him popularity across the nation. On the other hand, Rhea Sharma is known for her charming acting and has been seen in shows like Tu Suraj Mai Saanjh Piyaji, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, Laal Ishq. The chemistry between the two leads was one of the most important aspects of its popularity. Rhea’s character of an innocent yet loving girl suddenly made her trend on Twitter.

Since it went off the air, the viewers have protested to boycott the channel if they don’t bring back the show. Seeing a beautiful and appealing story like this, we, too, hope to get some news about the show being renewed for a second season. If this happens in the near future, it would be no less than a treat to the fans of the show. The show, however, can be viewed on Disney+ Hotstar.
