At the Bring Change to Mind gala in support of teen mental health, country music legend Reba McEntire took a moment to clear the air regarding rumors about her happiness on the set of “The Voice.” Speaking to “Extra’s” Mona Kosar Abdi on Monday night, she had nothing but positive things to say about her experience on the show.

Setting the record straight, Reba enthusiastically stated, “I’m just having a blast.” She went on to express her appreciation for the entire production team, saying, “The producers, everybody in the team, just love them all.” When asked if she had any plans to leave the show, she playfully replied, “Well, not right yet. We’re not through.”

Addressing the competitive nature of the show, Reba emphasized that it’s all in good fun, describing it as “fun rivalry.” She was particularly impressed by the remarkable talent showcased by the contestants, saying, “The talent is unbelievable.”

Reba didn’t reserve her praise solely for the contestants. She had glowing words for her fellow coaches, especially Gwen Stefani. Revealing a growing friendship with Gwen, she recalled their initial encounters, saying, “At first, she was so intimidating, and I thought she was being mean to me, and then she said, ‘I just want you to like me,’ and I said, ‘Well, that’s all you had to say.'”

During the gala, the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award was presented to actor Ryan Reynolds. Reba expressed her admiration for the award, saying, “I think it’s wonderful… An award named after Robin Williams is even a more special treat.”

Reba also opened up about the importance of changing the stigma surrounding mental health. Reflecting on her upbringing, she revealed, “When I was growing up, we all had problems, but nobody addressed it… We just need to talk about things more and bring it out into the open… We’re all different, and we’ve all got different special needs, and [we should] show a little love.”

In addition to her contributions to the music industry, Reba McEntire’s positive attitude and commitment to breaking the silence around mental health challenges make her a true advocate for change.
