A former associate of Hunter Biden, who oversaw Joe Biden’s personal finances for a significant period, informed congressional investigators that he had limited visibility into crucial bank accounts involved in some of Hunter Biden’s significant overseas business dealings.

Eric Schwerin, previously a business partner of Hunter Biden and manager of Joe Biden’s personal finances from 2009 to 2017, disclosed to investigating lawmakers that he did not have access or insight into many of the funds flowing to Hunter Biden, his associates, and family members from foreign transactions.

This information comes from a transcript of his January 30 interview with the House Oversight and Accountability Committee and the House Judiciary Committee.

Congressional investigators have previously identified Schwerin as instrumental in managing the Biden family’s various business entities, through which millions of dollars from foreign business transactions were channeled.

During the interview, an investigator pointed out that while Schwerin had visibility into certain accounts associated with Hunter Biden’s businesses like Rosemont Seneca Advisors and Rosemont Seneca Partners, he lacked access to others, including Rosemont Seneca Bohai, Rosemont Seneca Thornton, the Lion Hall Group, and Robinson Walker, LLC.

Some of these entities were linked to Hunter Biden’s dealings with foreign entities, including receiving funds from foreign sources. For instance, Rosemont Seneca Bohai and Rosemont Seneca Thornton were involved in receiving and transferring substantial sums from foreign individuals, including a Russian oligarch and a Kazakh businessman.

Similarly, Robinson Walker, LLC, owned by Hunter Biden’s associate Rob Walker, received funds from a Romanian businessman, with a portion subsequently flowing to accounts controlled by the Biden family.

Schwerin, who managed Joe Biden’s financial matters as a personal favor during his tenure as vice president, confirmed during the interview that Joe Biden had exchanged emails with him under a pseudonym.

However, Schwerin reiterated his belief that Joe Biden did not receive any proceeds from his son’s business activities, as far as he knew. The White House did not respond immediately to requests for comment on the matter.
