We’ve all thought about an anime protagonist turning rogue, especially those who are too powerful. I’m Quitting Heroing decided to do just that and did an excellent job. The anime is an adaptation of the manga of the same name, which is written by Quantum, while credit for illustration goes to Hana Amano. The story sees Leo; a hero humans do not accept even after saving the world. Leo is too strong for human comprehension; hence they’re scared of him. They don’t need a Hero if they are afraid of him. The anime is currently following a storyline where Leo is helping all the Elite Fours one by one. This time around, it’s Melnes’ turn to get help from Leo. I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 7, or Yuusha Yamemasu Episode 7 will continue the same storyline but with a different leader of Elite Four.
I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 7
The ongoing anime is receiving positive reviews from fans across the world. The storyline is compelling, and each character has its backstory so far. Not necessarily shying away from putting the side characters in the spotlight is a good thing as fans can better understand both sides of the story. The previous episode looks into Melnes and his past and Leo as well. For the first time, Leo reveals his origin while helping out Melnes. Melnes, the Shadowless General finds himself a confidant in Leo and can overcome his trouble. The episode also shines some light on how Demon Queen Echidna is not necessarily purely evil. She’s doing this all to save her people from the depths of despair. Before further diving into I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 7, let’s take a quick recap.
I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 6 Recap
The episode starts with Melnes and Leo conducting a mock interview so Melnes can understand the process clearly. This is where Melnes tells Leo that he knows about the lie he told to join the demon ranks. Leo is however surprised that it is Melnes who saw through his lie and not someone else. Melnes’ origin story begins as a half-human half-demon whose parents sold him to a slave trader. From there Melnes starts working with the assassin guild as their dispensable pawn. His hatred for humans has roots in his past, and that’s when he starts looking up to the Demon Queen. He wishes for the complete annihilation of humans by the Demon Queen. In one instance he helps Echnida by opening the gates to a kingdom so the Demon army can invade the city.
He’s confident that his actions will bring about the killing of many humans, but that doesn’t happen. Melnes is even shocked to see Echidna announce that she won’t kill citizens and offers them better living conditions than their former king. Moreover, Echidna also treats everyone in her army with due respect and wants the best for them.

Leo tells Melnes that when Demons suddenly attacked the human realm out of nowhere, scientists created 12 bioweapons. Twelve bioweapons, also called the Demonhart Series, were used as weapons against Demons. Leo is the only surviving member,r and he has been fighting demons for more than 1000 years.
He tells Melnes that he was relieved when humans abandoned him as he could live on his own. And that’s why he wants to join the ranks of the Demons now he’s finally free from his duty as the Hero. In the end, Leo thinks that all of the Elite Four and Echidna are good people.
