The series is back after the special episodes and still, it retains its edge. Not much had changed in the series or any major shift in the status quo, except Shikimori and Izumi get less time to be together on the screen. The series is going through a cultural festival and will continue with it in Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie Episode 8. Though they are spending less time together we get to see how they do when they are outside of their circle. This cements their role in the classroom and how they normally go about their daily lives when they are not seeing each other. And the interactions they had were charming and clumsy at the same time.
Though Episode 8 of Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie brought us Festival with little to no preparation, it serves its purpose as well. But the last episode not only used it as an event to make things happen but also explored the character’s past. We get to see what circumstances led to Izumi and Shikimori coming together and how their confession came to be. It is as you would expect but it’s still a warming sight to see, and I won’t ruin it by going into details.
Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie Episode 8
Almost every high school-based anime has a cultural festival going around this time, even Kaguya-Sama season 3. Episode 8 of Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie showed no exception. Bur while others have had preparation going around before they reached their’s Shikimori didn’t. It may seem a little out of touch but the series is the chronological order of events that takes place in a high school. It would have been nice to have the author explore the character outside of troped events, it also puts into question the length of the series.
Episode 8 of Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie will see what Kamiya is planning. Her eagerness in Izumi’s and Shikimori’s relationship displayed how deeply interested she was in their relationship. But as we saw at the end of the episode she has the same number as Izumi, possibly suggesting she might have feelings for Izumi. If so, how will the confrontation go and what will it result in?
