The answer is in the question itself. Its simplicity is what sells itself to the audience. True, we like stories that are complicated and intricate in design but a story has to start simple. What Is The Story About?

Even though the story starts simply, its execution is what carries it forward. The series does it so well that it saw a live-action adaptation right after its anime. And now a probability of Season 4 for Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. The story manages to entice the audience due to its ever-evolving plot. When we first came to Shuchiin, it present itself as the story of two elites making the other confess. That perception is shifted as we enter the second season of the anime. And not only that, we see characters switch roles as well. The main characters, Kaguya and Miyuki, slid to become supporting roles. Meanwhile, the quiet and gloomy Ishigami takes the centre stage. It not only shows the versatility of the characters but the relationship the cast has with each other. While also delivering us a unique and great story about Ishigami, who is considered MC by many.

The question was, where would the story go once Miyuki and Kaguya have confessed to each other. Most romance stories end after the confession point. And seeing that the two confessed and accepted each other, the same question asks itself. It ended on a cliffhanger note and with many unresolved plot threats. This is why season 4 of Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War is seeing demand.

How Does It End?

The story ended with Kaguya accepting to go to Stanford with Miyuki. The story does a great job on this decision by the way. Most romance plots have male leads giving up their dream for the love of their life. Kaguya on the other hand isn’t a typical selfish female love interest. When she heard about Miuki leaving for Stanford, she held her confession.

Though Hayasaka verbally abuses her for the lack of bone, she agrees with her reasons soon after. But now that she has decided to go with him, how will things progress? The second plot thread is about Ishigami and Tsubame. You know how it ends if you are up to date with the manga. And that is EXACTLY why the demand is high. Ishigami being the second protagonist does a lot of things. The most important being, giving us a character to root for.
