Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War is the best comedy rom-com of our time. It takes a fresh perspective on the love stories genre and its twist. Whether you got into the series through manga, Live-action movies, and anime you are on a joy ride. The story which started as a Death Note-esque love story wrapped up its third season.
And as you might have guessed, there is already a demand for Kaguya-sama: Love Is War season 4. But why does this story continues to be popular despite a simple premise? The answer is in the question itself. Its simplicity is what sells itself to the audience. True, we like stories that are complicated and intricate in design but a story has to start simple. Complicated premises tend to cater to a pre-established audience. But, if you want to reach a wider audience, you gotta start simple.
What Is The Story About?
Even though the story starts simply, its execution is what carries it forward. The series does it so well that it saw a live-action adaptation right after its anime. And now a probability of Season 4 for Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. The story manages to entice the audience due to its ever-evolving plot. When we first came to Shuchiin, it present itself as the story of two elites making the other confess. That perception is shifted as we enter the second season of the anime. And not only that, we see characters switch roles as well. The main characters, Kaguya and Miyuki, slid to become supporting roles. Meanwhile, the quiet and gloomy Ishigami takes the centre stage. It not only shows the versatility of the characters but the relationship the cast has with each other. While also delivering us a unique and great story about Ishigami, who is considered MC by many.
The question was, where would the story go once Miyuki and Kaguya have confessed to each other. Most romance stories end after the confession point. And seeing that the two confessed and accepted each other, the same question asks itself. It ended on a cliffhanger note and with many unresolved plot threats. This is why season 4 of Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War is seeing demand.
How Does It End?
The story ended with Kaguya accepting to go to Stanford with Miyuki. The story does a great job on this decision by the way. Most romance plots have male leads giving up their dream for the love of their life. Kaguya on the other hand isn’t a typical selfish female love interest. When she heard about Miuki leaving for Stanford, she held her confession.
Though Hayasaka verbally abuses her for the lack of bone, she agrees with her reasons soon after. But now that she has decided to go with him, how will things progress? The second plot thread is about Ishigami and Tsubame. You know how it ends if you are up to date with the manga. And that is EXACTLY why the demand is high. Ishigami being the second protagonist does a lot of things. The most important being, giving us a character to root for.
Will Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War Get A Season 4?
Season 4 of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season was announced soon after the last episode of season 3. The rom-com is popular almost everywhere and the story has a lot in store for us. Though, today’s anime tends to be an advertisement to boost sales but not for the psychological Rom-Com. At this point, the anime is made for studio and publication benefits rather than to support sales. Which is one of the reasons the next season was announced. And if you think that story might start to be a bore, we are telling you; that this is just the beginning.
What To Expect From Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War Season 4?
Season 4 of Kaguya-sama: Love is War should mainly focus on Ishigami’s proposal. As time goes by and Tsubame’s graduation draws near, the struggle is worth the watch. But, we also get to see Miyuki and Kaguya in an official relationship. Many believe, especially writers, that there is no story to tell after a love confession.
That does not happen with this series. The double confession of the couple is only one-fourth of the plot. And there is much more to come as chapters go by. Further in the story, we will also meet other members of Shinomiya, but that may not be in the next season.
Where Will Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War Season 4 Stream?
All the seasons of ‘Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War’ are available to stream on Crunchyroll. Given the popularity of the series, it can be available on Netflix in the future later. Muse Asia licensed the series as well. You can binge the series or read the manga, the choice is up to you. But, if you like reading manga we highly recommend you check it out. Though the main plot of the story gets animated, some of the funny bits are left out. And some of Fujiwara’s game as well. Also, the story is more than half done in manga according to the author. There is always a possibility of full anime not getting animated. And a story like this needs to be seen from start to end. Oh yeah, some of the good jokes are in manga only…
