Chainsaw Man Episode 5: Recap Release Date & Where To Watch

Chainsaw Man Episode 5 is currently trending as the biggest and hottest original anime of this year, and we are here with updates on Episode 5. The action-packed supernatural anime is based on the original manga written by Tatsuki Fujimoto, and the series was released in October 2022 (being animated by Mappa). The anime is directed by Tatsuya Ishihara and focuses on the life of Denji, who just wants to lead a simple life. Denji’s goal in life was simple- to live a peaceful life, be happy, and spend time with the girl he liked.

However, this came to an abrupt end as the Yakuza forced Denji to kill devils in order to compensate for his debts. In order to make up for his debts and get cash, he uses his pet Pochita (pet devil) as a weapon. But life was technically not fair to him when he was murdered by one of the devils in contract with the Yakuza. And so came the chainsaw man- who actually revived Denji with the powers of Pochita, where he can transform parts of his body into chainsaws. Working with the Public Safety Department- Denji faces his brutal enemies while escaping Devils and wanting to live his normal teenage life once again.

Chainsaw Man Recap (Spoilers Alert)

The recent episode of Chainsaw Man was named “Rescue,” and we were able to see the bond and adventure of Power and Denji in order to rescue Meowy. It is clear that the end of the episode marks the end of the Bat Devil Arc- with Denji forced to kill a devil in his chainsaw form in front of the world. Worse things followed this when another stronger devil attacked Denji. Thus, the trip to save Meowy definitely caused a lot of damage to Power and Denji. Denji somehow manages to save Power, and they sign a deal that gives us the bigger picture of how Denji just wants small things like the validation of a girl and the fulfillment of his needs, and for that, he will save Power every time. Power agrees to let Denji touch her chest, and before Denji can give in the moment- The Leech Devil attacks them.

To fend off the Leech Devil, we finally get to see the characters from the fourth division of Aki’s squad. While the Devil confronts Denji for slaughtering the Bat Devil, he also makes fun of the dreams Denji has (since they are so meaningless as compared to other Devils and Devil Hunters). To remind the fans, Denji wanted to have his life with the bare minimum quality of what a regular teenager had. The situation is controlled with the arrival of Devil Hunters, and we switched the scene to the hospital with Denji and Power injured.

Towards the end of the episode, Denji develops a relationship with Power and Aki, and thus, we can see the trip living together (Makima’s plan, perhaps?). We are yet to see wholesome moments between the trio, but we can definitely expect them to become a family with starting stepping stones in Episode 5. Thus, it is expected that Episode 5 will be the beginning of the Eternity Devil Arc, and we will get to see the deal competition between Power and Denji! You can expect Episode 5 to show us the difficulties the trio faces as they live in the same household and the switch in their personalities as they delve into further adventures.
