Escape from Fort Bravo is an American movie set during the Civil War. With a budget of approx $1,520,000, it was released on December 4, 1953. The film did decent box-office earnings of $3,158,000. The movie is directed by John Sturges and is a story of the Fort Bravo prison (as is evident from the title). William Holden stars as Captain Roper of the Union prison camp, holding Confederates in cells. A mysterious young woman Carla Forester played by Eleanor Parker, enters the base. She enters to free her beau Captain John Marsh played by John Forsythe. Hence, begins the escape from the camp led by Carla.
