Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s relationship timeline is something everyone is curious about. They had a very turbulent relationship. In 2018, Depp, after losing his high-profile libel case against the publisher of Sub tabloid after being allegedly accused of being a “wife-beater,” was “asked to resign” from the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts 3.”
After weeks of rumors over who would play Depp’s successor, the Danish performer Mads Michelson was formally introduced in November.

Depp and Heard first met while filming “The Rum Diary” in 2009.

Heard stated in a court document that the actress and Depp started dating “all around the end of the year 2011 or even the beginning of 2012.” In addition, after 14 weeks of dating, Depp and longtime companion Paradise formally announced their breakup in 2012.
Heard and her partner Tasya van Ree broke up around the same time. According to USA Today, Heard was detained in 2009 at the Seattle-Tacoma Airport Terminal in Washington on suspicion of physically beating her then-boyfriend van Ree physically. The couple admitted that their relationship was “at times turbulent,” including one notorious night in 2016 when Heard allegedly punched the actor while urinating in his bed.
In addition, Heard often accused the “Sweeney Todd” actor of abusing her, including hitting her with something like a bottle and a lot more.
Heard was seen filing a divorce statement in 2016.
Heard filed for separation after just 15 months of marriage, and it was granted in 2016. Depp consented to settle by giving Heard “in the neighborhood of $8 million.”

After being unsuccessful in getting the lawsuit dismissed, she filed a $100 million lawsuit in 2020, branding Depp’s claim “frivolous.”
