On 11 October, Blake Shelton revealed very surprising news to his fans about him leaving his coaching duties behind after spring 2023. He has been the judge for a total of 12 years. You might be asking, Why is he leaving the show? Well, to be honest with you, he didn’t mention the reason why he is leaving the show. It was just after he shared a post on Instagram sharing a little about his journey and giving credit to all those who had been a part of his journey in The Voice.
But what exactly he shared?
In the first paragraph of the post he shared, he talked about how this decision was bothering him for a while. He made it clear that he will be quitting his coaching duties from the next season onwards.
Then in the second paragraph, he expressed his gratitude towards the show for changing his life over 12 years duration. He thanked NBC, producers, writers, musicians, crew, and catering staff. He shared how grateful he was to share these 12 years with them. He talked about even though it required a lot of hard work to come to show two times a week, he still enjoyed the process.
He specifically mentioned his wife and other coaches whom he shared the journey with. He shared how he was able to build such a strong bond with them.
In the second last paragraph, he mentioned every singer and participant who came onto the show and amazed everyone with their talents. And he felt especially thankful to those singers who chose him as their coach.
Lastly, he expressed his gratitude towards the audience and his fans who supported him along with other coaches and gave their love to the singers. He felt blessed to be part of this long journey and would like to bid his last farewell this season.
Who Is Blake Shelton?
Blake Tollison Shelton is a 46-year-old singer who specializes in country songs. He has his debut with his single ‘Austin.’ He had been the judge of The Voice for over 12 years and had coached amazing singers. This had been profitable for Shelton as he gets paid over $13 million per season.
Later he married the co-judge of The Voice, Gwen Stefani, in 2021 after his divorce from Miranda Lambert. His relationship with Miranda lasted for four years, from 2011 to 2015.
With him being one of the most successful coaches, he hand-grabbed over 21 winners in his coaching tenure. He is also the longest-serving judge in The Voice.
Apart from the music industry, he has also taken part in philanthropical work. Like, donating over $20,000 to the cause of Wildlife conservation. Along with this, he also donated $600,000 in 2016 towards a medicine college that focuses on finding the cure for blood cancer and blood abnormalities.

A singing reality show which was first premiered on 26 April 2011. And until now, the show has produced a total of 21 seasons. The show is inspired by The Voice of Holland, which is a Dutch television series. The show is telecasted by NBC networks.
