In episode 6 of The Amazing Race, we are in Amman, Jordan. Everyone is gathered, and no one knows why. Then Phil came up and conveyed sad news about one of the team. He told them about Abby and Will being eliminated, as one of them was Covid positive. The other participants told how fierce competitors they were. Phil told the other participants that since one team had already been eliminated so, in this leg, no other team would be eliminated. But still, to get the benefits, you need to come first.
Phil told them about their next task, and everyone hurried to it. Everyone who acquired later positions needed to perform better in this one. Luis and Michelle, who came 1st in the previous leg, are very confident and are looking forward to coming 1st again in this leg. It was struggling for everyone as they were required to get information out of the civilians, but due to their lack of an understanding of English, it was getting harder to proceed to the next steps. After reaching the next phase, they had to make a decision and choose either step by step or letter by letter.
Soon those who opted for letter-by-letter were required to receive a lecture from the instructor about Egyptian letters. And those who opted for step-by-step were required to learn the traditional Egyptian dance.
After learning the dance steps, they were required to perform while wearing the whole traditional costume. But many couples were not able to get through it on the first try. The instructor had to guide them on what they were doing wrong. While other teams have proceeded further, Aubrey and David are still stuck in the dance phase. Finally, they get the pass, and the instructor gives them a hint for the next phase.
At last, they were required to build a cart using wood. And we’re required to put the items inside it and reach the finish line. We see Luis and Michelle reaching first with the cart they built, and as the winner, they will also receive Expedia reward points and a five-night trip to Barcelona, along with an entry in the first group for the next leg.
