In the first episode of this season, there were two challenges: the infamous Skills Test and the Signature Menu round. Now, the contestants must give their hundred percent to impress our judges, who will be giving points to all the contestants based on their recipe, dish, and their taste and serving. Ana set the skill tests for the first two chefs. Moreover, she gives them 20 minutes to open the oyster and serve them poached and smoked in a Beurre Blanc sauce.
The remaining two chefs are set a pastry Skills Test by Marcus. They were given the difficult task of making a summer fruit tart with jam, crème pâtissière, and piped Italian meringue. In the end, all four chefs had one last opportunity to do something unique when they cooked their own two-course Signature Menu. This was their chance to impress the judges by showing their style with a tried and tested main course and dessert.
