Rick’s horse is being devoured by zombies. (Zombies eat horses – who would have thought?) Almost understood Rick too, but a man in a baseball cap named Glen found him and took him out of town.

Glenn takes Rick to camp, where he finds Lori, Carl, and Rick’s partner Shane. Rick and Shane go hunting, women do their laundry, and people usually laze around, waiting for this whole zombie apocalypse to end. Rick suggests moving camp, but Shane declines, so Rick returns to Atlanta to get guns and ammo for everyone. Get bloodied to mask your smell and shuffle to an Atlanta gun store without any problems. Unfortunately, as they leave, it starts to rain, washing away the scent of camouflage, and they have to run desperately.

Meanwhile, at camp, Lori learns that she thought Rick was dead and had slept with Shane, but she tells Shane that the relationship is over now that Rick is back. Glenn and Rick return safely, and Rick teaches everyone, including a 7-year-old, how to fire a gun. Lori protests, but Rick thinks it’s important that Carl has a gun. This is the zombie apocalypse. Good thing Carl got hot when zombies attacked the camp and ate one of the campers, Amy.
