Migos members Takeoff, Quavo, and Offset are all instantly related. The rap trio started in 2008 when Quavo (real name Quavius Marshall) formed the group with his nephew Takeoff and his cousin Offset. This rap group was originally named Polo Club but changed the name to his Migos when he released his debut mixtape Juug Season in 2011.
Many fans usually thought that their name came from the Spanish word ‘Amigos,’ which means her friends, which all of us know. However, in their 2013 interview with Hot 97, Quavo and Takeoff explained that the name meant more to the area they grew up in.
Why Is Quavo And Offset Beefing?
A 28-year-old man was shot dead at a bowling alley shortly after 2:30 am on Tuesday, November 1st, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the publication. He was playing a game of dice with his uncle and Migos bandmate, Quavo, when an altercation reportedly broke out, and someone opened fire.
Yes, Takeoff and Quavo’s relationship with his Offset became estranged in 2022, but it’s unclear why. Sometime in 2022, the Migos trio will become a duo, and Offset will part ways with the group. Offset and Quavo are cousins, and Takeoff is his Quavo, nephew, but they all grew up together and looked upon each other like brothers.
In a 2013 interview with FADER, Quavo revealed that her mother took care of them all, and they lived in the same house. “We share everything. He’s liked a brother. All three grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and started in 2008 under the name Polo Club and wrapped it together. Rappers Takeoff and Quavo recently released music together.
As a result, some may wonder what happened to the award-winning, fast-selling trio. Well, now Quavo and Takeoff are discussing a breakup, stating that “sometimes it just doesn’t work out.” Offset began his career as a solo artist while his two other presenters traveled together as a duo. Initially, there was hope that Offset’s departure was just a way to spice up the drama before the release of new songs.
However, since the summer, it has become clearer, and it seems like the breakup is real. For example, Migos canceled their appearance at the summer Governors Ball. And since that split, Offset has released new music, while Quavo and Takeoff continue to release new songs, including their upcoming new LP, Only Built for Infinity Links.
Takeoff’s tragic death came hours after the 28-year-old shared a new music video for his hit single “Messy” with his uncle Quavo. The decline of the critically acclaimed rap group began in May after both unfollowed. Shortly after the disbandment was announced, Quavo and Takeoff formed the musical duo UNC & Phew, while Offset announced the release of a solo project.
In August, the Migos member hit a breaking point after a social media user accused Cardi B’s husband, Offset, of sleeping with Quavo’s then-girlfriend, “Tap In” rapper Saweetie. The group was recently announced to headline this year’s National Battle Of The Bands in Houston, but the flyer for the event, scheduled for Saturday, August 27th, features Quavo and Takeoff. Quavo said the problem lies between the three Migos members.
“We just dig into loyalty. “It has to do with three brothers, and yes. Takeoff claimed that ‘family will always be family,’ and seemed eager to reunite.” “I hope that time will tell. We are always family. Nothing has changed,” he said. For now, Quavo and Takeoff are pursuing their careers as a duo. On Friday, they released the album Only Built for Infinity Links, featuring Summer Walker, Young Thug, Gucci Mane, and Gunna, NBA YoungBoy.
Amid a legal battle with quality control, Offset continues his solo career with Moneybagg Yo’s second solo album will be released on November 11th, featuring the single “Code.” Takeoff and his Quavo were in prison for parole violations, and he was there for Offset too. The rapper revealed in his 2013 Fader interview that he spoke every day and stayed close the whole time he was inside.
“My daily routine was writing music and talking to Quavo and Takeoff on the phone. Offset also revealed that a former bandmate of his had told him how well their music was performing to the outside world, saying, “Quavo and Takeoff have been giving me updates. They gave me, and I talked to them every day.”
