Tulsa King is the latest TV show from Hollywood’s macho boy Sylvester Stallone, who was facing a real downfall in his career after delivering several B Grade lackluster films like Escape Plan sequels, Backtrace, etc… and now, finally, after a really long time, he has delivered something that would definitely make a lot of Stallone fans happy. Tulsa King follows the adventures of Dwight (played by Sylvester Stallone), who comes out of prison after completing his 25 years sentence, and gets a task to set up a new criminal empire.

Tulsa King started airing on 13th November 2022, & upon its release, the show received a lot of love from the audience and from critics, who particularly praised Stallone’s screen presence, his dominant tough guy role, the cheeky humor, the gangster storyline and the performance of the lead actors. Tulsa King follows the story of Dwight, “The Mafia General,” who spent 25 years of his life inside a prison & when he completes his sentence and returns back to the world, his boss tasks him to analyze Tulsa, set up a new gang, and take control over that area. Dwight agrees & sets off to Tulsa, where he first recruits some gang members & finds out that he could easily make good money by providing protection to the legal weed harvesters, who often get robbed. But the real challenge arrives when a new motorcycle gang arrives into the picture, who are ready to foil the plan of Dwight.

The show has a very familiar premise for all of us who have grown up watching Scorsese’s gangster films like Casino, Goodfellas, and The Irishman, or perhaps some other made guy films like Donnie Brasco. So Tulsa King plays in safe waters, but at the same time, it delivers a show with a really good story.
