Young Royals Season 3 Release Date
The wait is over; Netflix has officially confirmed that the hit series Young Royals will get a season 3. They confirmed it through Twitter. They also mentioned this would be the final season. Later in the Jimmy Fallon talk show “The Tonight Show,” the main leads confirmed the news. It was the first American Talk show appearance for the main leads Edvin Rydin and Omar Rudberg.
Edvin plays the role of Prince Wilhelm, and Omar portrays Simon. Besides them, there is also Malte Gardiner, who plays the role of August, Frida Agento as Sara Eriksson, and Nikita Uggla as Felice Ehrencrona.
The announcement was released on December 14, 2022, followed by a photo of Edvyn and Omar holding hands. This was the happiest day for the fans as they were worried this would ever happen.
Young Royal Season 1 and Season 2 Recap
Season one begins with Wilhelm, shown as a party prince picking up a fight with his schoolmates. This carnal behavior prompted the queen to transfer him to Hillerska, and this is the same school where his brother Erik the Crown prince, completed his education. In Hillerska, he is in the hands of his cousin Alex.
In the boarding school, he finds himself attracted to Simion, a scholarship kid. The first season deals with the main couple falling in love while struggling to come to terms with his sexuality. Being a royal makes it extra hard for him to express himself. To make matters worse, crown prince Erik dies in a car accident, making Wilhelm the Crown Prince.
This new responsibility takes a toll on him, but what is even sad is that a video of him with Simon leaked to the press. The Royal court orders him to deny it was him in the photo, thus betraying Simon. This incident separated the couple. This is how they break up. Season 1 ends with our favorite couples breaking up.
Season 2 begins with Wilhem grieving his brother’s death and coming to terms with his new responsibilities. He is overwhelmed by all the things he needs to do. Meanwhile, Simon is still angry at Wilhelm for abandoning him and leaving him to deal with the press.
The second season ends with Simon and Wilhelm accepting their love and coming to terms with the fact that dating a royal is not going to be that easy. It ends on a cliffhanger when Willhelm admits to the public that it was him in the video.
With such an ending, it is necessary to have a third season to make properly wrap up the plot.
Young Royals Season 3 Predictions and Where to Watch.
Season 3 will mainly deal with the struggle for Wilhelm to be royal and gay. Going public with their relationship can cause a lot of public outrage, and the crown prince is going to deal with the aftermath of his decision. At the same time, August has to get punished for leaking the video.
