Sanditon series is based on a novel. It draws its inspiration from an unfinished novel penned by the famed author Jane Austen. Sanditon tries to strike a distinct balance. People have been curious to know about the plot of Sanditon Season 3.
Though there are no official details available, thanks to the interviews given by the cast and some images released, we do have an idea about what is in store for the audience. The Internet was buzzing when PBS Studios released new images of season 3 of Sanditon. So what can fans expect from season 3?
Sanditon Season 1 Recap
We saw how in season 1, Charlotte is overjoyed as Sidney Parker finally opens his heart to her. Charlotte reached Sanditon at the beginning of the season. But heartbreak awaits Charlotte. Sidney’s brother Tom gets into major trouble. He is the caretaker of an uninsured building that is struck by fire. Tom gets into financial trouble.
Now Sidney has no choice but to marry Alisa, who is quite wealthy. Though he truly loves Charlotte, in order to help his brother escape the financial crisis, he has to marry Elisa. Charlotte is left heartbroken due to Sidney’s decision. She decides to abandon Sanditon forever. So that was how season 1 ended.
Sanditon Season 2 Recap
This season showed the exit of Sidney Parker as the actor who portrayed the character, Theo James, decided to quit the series. Season 2 begins on a tragic note as Sidney passes away. He developed yellow fever and died soon. Charlotte returns to Sanditon, but when she gets to know about Sidney’s death, she is shattered emotionally.
Though Sidney married Elisa and rejected Charlotte, she still could not forget the love he had for her. Charlotte decides to become an independent woman and thus tries to look for a job. She crosses paths with Alexander as she has the responsibility of managing his ward. She also develops a connection with Colonel Lennox as the British army arrives in Sanditon.
Though the army is there for their ugly motives, Charlotte is not aware of them. But still, she is not able to form a connection with Lennox. He proposes to her, but she rejects it as she is more connected to Alexander.
This season is full of sad moments, but in one of the episodes, we see happy moments as Alison and captain Fraser end up together. Alison, who has been shattered and heartbroken due to Carter’s betrayal, is finally able to leave her past and start a new relationship with Captain Fraser.
What To Expect From Sanditon Season 3?
The new season will focus on both old as well as new characters. This popular series which has a loyal fan following will be airing its final and last season on the PBS network in March 2023. The new season will introduce Lord Montross.
In the images released by the production, Montross dances with Georgina Lambe. So we can expect a love angle to build between the two. Another interesting thing to watch would be if Charlotte and Alexander’s romance will continue or not.
She is engaged now, so it might put an end to their romance. But we don’t expect to see that because Alexander and Charlotte’s chemistry was a hit. As per the cast of the season, the new season is all going to be about fun, parties, and glamour. Characters are going to be exposed to new challenges, and they need to introspect to find the solution.
So season 3 is going to dig more into the relationship between Charlotte and Colbourne. We do get to see many adorable moments of both in season two, and it is time to enjoy many more of them in the new season. But this romance is not going to be too easy as we know well that Charlotte is already in another relationship.
Charlotte and Ralph got engaged in the previous season. Since this will be the last season so it will be the culmination of her journey to being an independent woman, she is someone who has always believed in the independence of spirit, and that is what we’ll surely be expecting from Sanditon Season 3.
