Harry Potter, without any doubt, is one of the most loved series today. Even though it’s been more than 2 decades since the first installment of this franchise was released, it still receives the same amount of love it did then. God only knows what would have happened if J.K. Rowling wouldn’t write Harry Potter. Potterheads can’t imagine a world that’s devoid of this series.

You watch it at the age of 9 or 90 you can’t just ignore the friendship between Harry, Ron, and Hermione or Ron and Hermione as one or Hagrid or his love and care for different creatures or Voldemort or another element.

Every element in this has its significance which can’t be neglected. It is one of the few series where a character has its importance doesn’t matter if it’s small or big. Today we are going to talk about one such character, Antonin Dolohov.

Antonin Dolohov was one of the death eaters who were the followers of Voldemort. Dolohov was one of Voldemort’s loyal followers and wouldn’t bat an eye while harming someone. It is very clear when he doesn’t flinch while harming Hermione. Rather, he smirks after doing this. He was getting ahead of himself and was killed. Let’s find out what happened to him.

Antonin Dolohov In Harry Potter And The Order Of Phoenix

Antonin Dolohov was one of the wizards who had great power. He escaped from Azkaban prison in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. He was in there because of killing Gideon and Fabian Prewett. Antonin worked under Voldemort and was a death eater who would not think for a second before torturing others.

He was only able to get out of the prison after Voldemort made his entry in 1996. After he was out of prison, he took part as the final Death Eater in the Department of Mysteries’ battle. He couldn’t enjoy his freedom for a long duration, and after the battle, he was again sent to prison. In the battle, he managed to harm Hermione and change the shape of Neville’s nose and wand.

There’s no doubt that he’s one of the greatest death eaters, and his Hallmark spell was his strongest weapon. It’s nothing but a purple light that causes an extreme amount of pain to his enemy when it is elicited from his wand in a zig-zag manner after he has shaken it in a slicing action. He used this spell of his during the battle many a time and also to harm Hermione.

Even though it’s against the rule of the battle to let any third party help the contestants, Voldemort was just being Voldemort. He couldn’t control himself from doing any wrongful deeds like every other time. He. cast a slashing spell on our not-so-little Hermione, injuring her and ultimately knocking her down. In the battle, Antonin got distracted for a split moment, and Harry used this chance and defeated him.

I don’t know if you remember or not, but whenever any battle or anything of that sort happened, Harry Potter would always remain unharmed or would have injuries that wouldn’t be dangerous for his life. It was because of Voldemort’s order he wanted to be the one who would kill Harry Potter, but we all know what happened in the end.

Antonin Dolohov was a dark magic expert who could perform any spell with perfection, especially his favorite, the Hallmark spell, and he was also the practitioner of Voldemort’s spell, Slashing spell. He could even perform Expulso Curse, a curse that is used to perform explosions, and Impediment Jinx, which could stop one’s movement.

As said a lot of times that he’s best in what he does, but one shouldn’t get ahead. There’s always someone who would come and prove us wrong. In 1998’s battle at Hogwarts, he killed Remus Lupin, and in the same battle, he was defeated by Professor Filius Flitwick.

That’s the end of Antonin Dolohov’s story. He may or may not have died in that battle, and if he wouldn’t be killed in that battle, then he definitely would have been sent back to the prison or, worse, would have been eaten by death eaters. What do you think?
