Wilde’s article received harsh criticism, and many people pointed out the irony of her relationship with Harry Styles, a well-known ex-boyfriend of Swift. Herbers added more posts to her analysis of Swift’s influence, making the facetious claim that Swift’s followers were hurriedly looking up information on “climate emergency” and then jokingly adding, “Taylor would join her scientist at an end fossil fuels rally, and the world would be saved.”
