Amid her ongoing divorce from her estranged husband, Grant Hughes, Sophia Bush has found a new romantic interest. The former One Tree Hill star is now dating former USWNT soccer player Ashlyn Harris, who is also navigating her way through a legal separation from her estranged wife, Ali Krieger, as reported by multiple sources.
This blossoming romance between Bush, 41, and Harris, 37, comes to light two months after it was revealed that Bush had filed for divorce from Hughes, 42, effectively ending their 13-month marriage.
In response, Hughes listed June 27 as their date of separation and cited irreconcilable differences as the primary reason for their breakup, according to documents obtained by E! News. Furthermore, he requested that the court refrain from granting spousal support to either party and suggested that they each cover their respective attorney’s fees.
In a separate development, in September, Harris initiated her own divorce proceedings to dissolve her marriage to fellow soccer star Krieger, 39. The couple, who share two children, daughter Sloane and son Ocean, had tied the knot nearly four years prior in a star-studded ceremony in Miami.
Over the past few months, Bush and Harris have frequently crossed paths. They appeared on a panel together alongside beverage executive Sophie Ann Kelly at the Cannes Lions advertising festival in June, with Bush sharing a photo of the event on her Instagram with a caption expressing her affection for Ashlyn Harris.
Their connection continued as they attended a Peacock watch party for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in July and graced the Kallmeyer’s New York Fashion Week show in September. Most recently, the actress and athlete were spotted together in Instagram photos shared by Canadian soccer player Selenia Iacchelli on October 10. In the images, Bush and Harris radiated happiness as they enjoyed the company of Angel City FC’s Merritt Mathias and Kari Fleischauer.
