Kevin Turen, a 44-year-old producer known for his work on HBO’s “Euphoria” and “The Idol,” passed away on November 12 due to multiple heart complications. Tragically, he was at the wheel of his Tesla when his health suddenly deteriorated, prompting his quick-thinking 10-year-old son to take control and guide them to safety.

The official cause of Kevin Turen’s death was determined to be acute cardiac dysfunction and hypertrophic heart disease, with coronary artery disease listed as another significant factor, according to TMZ. His father, Edward Turen, and close friend Michael Heller, revealed to TMZ that the incident occurred on the California freeway as they were returning home from a tennis tournament. At the time of the ordeal, Kevin’s car was reportedly in autopilot mode.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, Kevin Turen was pronounced dead. His father, Edward Turen, confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement on November 12, expressing, “Kevin was so incredibly special; this world is going to be less without him.”

Jay Penske, CEO of PMC and a close friend of Kevin Turen, shared his sentiments in a statement, highlighting Kevin’s dedication to family and friends. Penske noted that, beyond Kevin’s Hollywood achievements, his greatest passion was his family, emphasizing his pride in his children and their commitment to positive values.

Kevin Turen, along with Sam and Ashley Levinson, co-founded Little Lamb Productions, the company behind the successful HBO show “Euphoria.” His filmography also includes collaborations on Ti West’s projects such as “X,” “Pearl,” and the upcoming “MaXXXine.” Little Lamb Productions was responsible for other notable works, including “Malcolm and Marie” (2021), starring Zendaya and John David Washington, the thriller “Breaking” (2022) featuring John Boyega, and the HBO miniseries “Irma Vep” (2022) directed by Olivier Assayas.

Survived by his wife, Evelina, and their two sons, Jack and James, Kevin Turen’s passing leaves a significant void in the entertainment industry, with colleagues and friends mourning the loss of a bright talent and dedicated family man.
