“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards is currently enjoying the peak of her physical fitness and opened up about her journey in a recent interview with US Weekly. In contrast to her younger days when exercise was primarily for weight loss, Richards now prioritizes her mental health, considering the aesthetic benefits as a welcome bonus.
Richards’ fitness journey took a significant turn after a breast reduction in 2022, which imposed an eight-week exercise hiatus. Reflecting on her experience during a European vacation filled with indulgent food and the loss of a close friend to suicide, Richards realized the need for a change. Determined to take charge of her well-being, she committed to eliminating bad carbs, sugar, pasta, bread, and alcohol while incorporating daily workouts.
Currently weighing 117 pounds, down from her peak of 132 pounds before the European trip, Richards attributes her improved skin and overall well-being to cutting out alcohol. Her workout routine includes a variety of activities such as hiking, spin classes, weights, hot yoga, and running, especially during challenging times.
As she embraces her 50s, Richards feels and looks better than ever, debunking rumors of using Ozempic for weight loss. She clarified in comments on a Page Six post that she has never taken Ozempic or undergone plastic surgery, emphasizing her commitment to honesty about her fitness journey.
Despite rumors suggesting her fitness regimen is a “revenge body” following her separation from husband Mauricio Umansky, Richards insists it’s about feeling good rather than seeking revenge. The couple, who initially denied divorce rumors in July, is navigating a separation after 27 years of marriage. Richards, while acknowledging the emotional challenges of this new chapter, expressed happiness and revealed that they still share a home and spend the holidays together.
With three daughters shared between them, Richards and Umansky attend therapy together, emphasizing their mutual desire for each other’s happiness. The future remains uncertain, but the couple strives to maintain normalcy in their current situation.
Reflecting on the tumultuous year, Richards discovered her resilience and strength, expressing a determination to leave negativity and stress behind as she enters the new year. Her goal for 2024 is to embrace a quieter, happier, and more peaceful life.
