“Sopranos” Actress Lorraine Bracco Embraces the Advantages of Embracing Her Natural Gray Hair

‘Sopranos’ star Lorraine Bracco ‘loves’ this benefit of letting her hair go gray

Dr. Melfi is back in the building. Lorraine Bracco delighted television viewers on Monday night when she made an appearance at the 75th Emmy Awards alongside Michael Imperioli, celebrating “The Sopranos” at the television awards show.

For some, Bracco — and Imperioli — may have looked unrecognizable as both stars have let their hair fade to gray.

The actress, 69, told Page Six Style exclusively that the decision to go silver was made during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I love not having to spend hours in the salon,” she explained at a recent party celebrating the 25th anniversary of “The Sopranos.”

Bracco isn’t the only celeb who decided to ditch the hair dye during the pandemic and not look back.

“Four Weddings and a Funeral” star Andie MacDowell also rocks a full head of silver tresses.

“My sister’s full-on silver, and she’s only 18 months older than me. I thought she looked so much more beautiful, being silver. I was jealous,” MacDowell told People in 2022.

“During COVID, I could see the roots with my face and with my skin and my eyes, and I liked it. I felt that I would be happier. And I am happier. I really like it,” she added.

Bracco also reminisced with Page Six Style about her time on the iconic mob series, sharing that her favorite memory was working with James Gandolfini, who, of course, played Tony Soprano in the HBO show.

“He was brilliant, he was fun, he was creative, he was silly, he was everything a partner in crime would want,” she reminisced, adding that reunions now are “bittersweet” because of Gandolfini’s passing.

The Emmy winner died of a heart attack in 2013 at the age of 51.

Meanwhile, Bracco keeps herself busy these days by visiting her house in Sambuca, Sicily, at least twice a year.

Bracco goes to her house in Sicily at least twice a year.

“I go in the spring, and I try to go in the fall for olive picking season,” she said.

And as for how she feels starring in two iconic mob projects, “The Sopranos” and “Goodfellas,” Bracco was ready with a quip.

“F—king lucky,” she squealed.
