Commenting on his father’s recent legal troubles, including a $355 million penalty imposed after his New York civil fraud trial, Eric Trump expressed his frustration during an appearance on Fox News’s “The Ingraham Angle” on Friday night.

Asserting his father’s significant contributions to the skyline of New York City, Eric Trump decried what he perceived as ingratitude from the state. He argued that despite his father’s alleged innocence and absence of financial losses, he faced substantial financial penalties instead. Eric mourned what he saw as a departure from the state’s embrace of his family.

Expressing disillusionment with New York, Eric Trump described it as a “hopeless place,” lamenting the perceived bias in the legal proceedings. He accused the judge of bias against his father and his family, alleging a preconceived setup from the outset of the trial. Eric criticized the decision to hold the trial in a civil court instead of the commercial division, suggesting it was a deliberate attempt to disadvantage them.

The ruling also affected Eric Trump personally, as he was ordered to pay over $4 million and barred from holding top business positions in the state for up to two years. In light of these developments, Eric cautioned anyone considering relocating to New York to exercise caution, emphasizing that the state has changed significantly from the one his father and family once knew.
