Raised By Wolves Season 3 – Was it Renewed?
The short answer is no. As of now, there has been no official statement from HBO on the whereabouts of a new season. Even though the show is yet to be renewed, it does not mean that the show is canceled. Since the 2nd season finished airing just a few days ago. There is still a lot of time left for the good news to arrive. Fans need not fret as the show is very unlikely to be canceled as the 2nd season was very well received. Even more so than the 1st one. Therefore, the only thing we can do is stay on the edge of our seats, waiting for the announcement.

Raised By Wolves Season 3 Release Date
The show started its initial run in early September 2020. The first season had a total of 10 episodes released 7 days apart. The episodes have a run time of 42 Minutes. Season 2 followed the same pattern but with only 8 episodes. Furthermore, the show got an IMDB Rating of 7.5 and Rotten Tomatoes Rating of 87%. Season 1 finished airing on the 1st of October of the same year. Fans had to wait almost a year and a half for the second season. Which premiered on the 3rd of February 2022. Since the show hasn’t been renewed yet and therefore, there is no official Release Date. Season 2 finished its run on the 20th of March 2022. Considering the time gap between Seasons 1 and 2. It’s safe to say we have to wait till at least next year for Season 3. Or maybe even the year after.
What Happened in the Previous Seasons
In the previous season, we saw Mother giving birth to her Mystery Baby, which turns out to be a snake-like being. To save the life of her other children, Mother, Father along with their new child, decide to sacrifice themselves. They decide to fly into the planet’s core. But turns out fate had different plans for them. They fly into the core, but they pass through to the other side unharmed. They explore the other side of the planet, which is enclosed in a Magnetic dome. The Magnetic Dome makes this side of the plane have a tropical climate. After a little while the Serpent escapes and flies away, much to Mother and Father’s Surprise. They can only stay and watch as the beast flies away. The season progresses as they cope with the tropical side as they come into contact will new allies as well as enemies.
The Inhabitants of the Tropical Side
Father finds an old android exoskeleton which he tinkers with. He found out that adding fuel blood to the skeleton seems to bring it back to life. The android that emerged turned out to be Grandmother. She was part of the settlement plan on that planet. We see Sue getting converted into the Knowledge tree. Unassuming people start collecting and eating its fruit. The now imprisoned Serpent sees the fruit and starts going berserk. It breaks out of its containment and consumes the fruit. After which, it consumes the entire Knowledge tree itself. Doing so causes it to mutate into an even more terrifying monstrosity. Mother tries attacking the serpent but is unable to do so. As she is programmed to never hurt her children. Which technically includes the Serpent also.
Mother Luring The Snake Into Space
The Serpent attacks the disabled Mother and Injures her. Mother consults Grandmother, and she advises her to use her Veil. The veil is designed to block out an Android’s emotions. So that it doesn’t affect their judgment. This proves true as Mother can lure the monster into space where she captures and destroys the beast. The dead serpent falls to the ground and hits the Magnetic Dome on re-entry, which shatters the field. It is revealed that the magnetic field was what was keeps the climate Tropical. Mother Returns and decides to keep using the Viel
The Ending
Grandmother reveals to Mother that the sea creatures found on the planet are devolved humans she created with the help of the other Androids that were a part of her crew. She claimed that reducing humans into simple beasts was the only to prevent further conflicts. She was successful in devolving humans to live in the acidic sea. Mother is livid hearing this which the veil senses. The veil envelops her before she gets violent and subsequently shuts her down. Grandmother uses the opportunity to trap Mother in a simulation. Does she intend to repeat what she did to the previous settlers? Then we see the Knowledge Tree emerging from the snake’s corpse.
Lucias, who starts hearing the voice of Sol is mesmerized by it. The Voice tells him that Marcus is a Fake Prophet. Furthermore, claims that Lucias is the true prophet. The voice orders Lucias to Kill Marcus, which he does. As the duo was near the Knowledge Tree, Lucias knocks out Marcus and crucified him upside down. Marcus advises that the entity he is hearing is evil. Which falls on deaf ears. Lucias puts the Punisher mask on Marcus and lets him die. Furthermore, when Lucias removes the mask, Marcus seems dead. Viewers soon realize that’s not the case. We see Marcus floating in the air, much to Lucias’s disbelief. What’s disturbing about it is he is floating in the air in the same upside position he was crucified in. What does it mean for Marcus? The season’s end leaving fans with more Questions than Answers.
Where Can You Stream The New Season?
You can watch the show’s previous season episodes on the HBO Max Official website. However, you would need a subscription to gain access to their services. Furthermore, HBO Max is the only streaming service to have “Raised by Wolves”. As in, you won’t find them in Netflix, Amazon Prime, or others like that. Even though Raised by Wolves Season 3 is not announced. We can expect the show to follow the same trend as its predecessors. The first season had 10 episodes while the second season had 8. Therefore, it’s fair to assume that Season 3 will have an episode count of 8-10. Furthermore, the episode duration for the previous seasons was 45 Minutes. That is one other thing that will remain the same.
The new season will surely answer a lot of the unanswered questions the fans have. Now that mother is imprisoned. The Grandmother is free to do as she pleases. An unsuspecting Father might unwillingly help her to do so. Furthermore, the reanimated corpse of Marcus doesn’t seem like it’s up to any good. Did the snake not die and did its consciousness invade Marcus’s lifeless body. Or is Sol or whatever that claims to be Sol is responsible. Season 3 is going to be very eventful indeed.
